2016 Sequitur Pinot Noir 750ml

The Sequitur Vineyard, privately owned by Michael Etzel and Carey Critchlow, is a 12-acre site directly adjacent to Beaux Frères’ Upper Terrace vineyard. Planting commenced in the spring of 2012 with Lavender Block, followed by Rosemary Block in 2013. The vineyard follows the Beaux Freres model of very densely planted vines but is unique in that it is 17 diverse clones. The vineyard is farmed following biodynamic principles allowing native ground cover to flourish. This is the inaugural vintage of the Beaux Frères Sequitur and is currently only available to our Wine Club members. Remaining bottles will be available in June. 150 cases were made.

2015 Upper Terrace Vineyard Pinot Noir 750ml

Deeper in hue and density of color, our wine from this vineyard’s 14th harvest amounts to a fascinating adventure in bottle. From the initial bouquet — impressively vivid — its expansive complexity brings hints of dusty berry and wet slate. Moments later, it becomes even more lush. A subtle waft of incense emerges as the evolution continues. With rich, round tannins and a good deal of gusto, the wine promises decades of potential with proper cellaring. (Retail pricing $110)
